Set the table with intention & live deliberately. The Banne mug is named after the Wolof nomenclature for one of the primary substances used in its construction. These mugs are coiled using an ancient technique discovered by archeologists excavating the Sahel region of West Africa during the 1920s. With geological evidence of this art form’s existence for over 2,000 years, The Wild Collection offers a cultural and historical resurgence preserved in modern form.
With each vessel molded and glazed by hand, the production of each object takes up to 14 days rendering unique functional objects. Mugs are made from a mixture of indigenous Senegalese ceramic wildclay, terracotta, and quartz.
