Doing so allows us to pay our weaving team 2 to 4 times the national average, provide a comfortable working environment, and create the highest quality items imaginable.

Our team is focused on quality and treating our employees like family. Our collections are often developed in-house or in collaboration with leading design figures globally. The Senegalese artisans we partner with utilize techniques passed down generationally in their native villages. We pay the artisans directly for the materials they use and livable wages. There are no middlemen or exclusivity contracts. We foster connections and create a space that encourages these women to want to continue working with us.

We partner with Senegalese farmers to source the very highest quality of sourced raw materials and local grass. The salvaged plastic and organic leather are sourced directly from a nine-woman team tannery in Dakar.  All wood is sustainable and only sourced in Senegal.

Our weaving team is compensated at 2 to 4 times the national average, and we maintain favorable working conditions. Our products are handcrafted with quality raw materials with every detail of every object obsessed over. We believe in doing things thoughtfully and with the utmost respect for our team and customers.

Don't worry! Nothing is wrong with your basket. It's simply the nature of the material and the construction. Our products are made from 100% raw materials in natural elements. Our Operations team inspects the baskets, looking for needles and sand to remove, and wipes the baskets down with a damp cloth.

All orders are final and we cannot accept returns. Please ensure all measurements, colors, and design are correct before submitting your order! Of you purchased a TKS item from a stockist, please reach out to them for their refund policy.

After placing an order, you have 24 hours to cancel and receive a refund. Because every object is made just for you, entirely by hand, orders cannot be canceled past this deadline.

Damage sometimes occurs in the shipping process, even though we do our best to ensure all items arrive in perfect condition. 

If you happen to receive a damaged item:

• Report it within 24 hours of receiving the item by emailing info@tackussanu.com. Include photos or a video of the damage, and your order number in your email. We will arrange a replacement or return of the damaged item. 

Please note: each basket is handcrafted, and variations occur in the colors used. We can't guarantee the vibrancy or presence of colors. Handmade products are not perfect by nature, but those imperfections make them special and are not to be considered damaged.

All sales of discounted products and sample sale goods are final. We don’t often have sales or offer discounts, but when we do, those items are final sale.

New orders are processed after 24 hours and sent to our weavers, carpentry, and tannery team. The entire process—from your order to delivery takes a minimum of 45 days.  All items on TKS are made to order. We do not store items in warehouses. Kindly check in with our team for order updates if you have any concerns.

Shipping rates vary and are dictated by our shipping carrier. They are based on weight, height, and additional dimensions.  Please note that for shipments outside the U.S., duties and taxes may apply. We're happy to calculate these for you ahead of purchase if you email us at info@tackussanu.com.

As soon as your item is approved by our quality control team in Senegal, and payment for shipping has been received, we'll send you a tracking number.
