Four pieces, one colorway, one intention. The Njabot Collection is hand-coiled coil by coil from Ndiorokh grass and white recycled plastic strips, finished throughout in sable dark brown sheepskin leather. Each piece carries a leather detail specific to its form. Each detail is structural—braided, cut, gathered—not decorative. The Njabot Teranga Peak Lid rises to a point, its neck finished with a braided leather tassel, its body with leather handles. The Njabot Teranga Flat Lid rests—the same braided tassel at the top, leather cut-out handles at the body. The Dou Boho is a wider flat-lidded form, grounded in its proportions, with leather cut-out handles. The Njabot Jummy is the smaller vessel—a braided leather tassel and a single small gathered leather handle, the same intention concentrated into a tighter scale. One collection. Four forms. All four pieces ship together.

The leather finish is sheepskin, processed at a women-operated open-air tannery in Senegal. As a hand-coiled object, each piece falls within a standard range. Dimensions are approximate and reflect the nature of the craft.

The Craft - Each piece is hand-coiled by Wolof women in Senegal, coil by coil. Because each basket is made by hand, no two pieces are identical. Dimensions reflect the standard range for this form and will vary slightly between pieces.
