The Takh takes its name and form from Wolof tradition. Its oblong, egg-shaped silhouette traces back to vessels once used by the Peulh people of Senegal to hold fresh milk — a form that has carried meaning for centuries before it carried anything else.

Each piece is hand-coiled from ndiorokh grass (Vetiveria nigritana) and salvaged plastic, a pairing that reflects how traditional technique absorbs and survives. The removable top makes it functional. The silhouette makes it something else entirely.
