The Tolani is a study in proportion. Its narrow mouth widens into a rounded base—a silhouette borrowed from traditional Wolof coiling, reinterpreted in recycled fiber with braided organic leather at the neck.  Designed to hold without announcing itself. It looks equally at home on a shelf, a vanity, or a desk.

Four colorways: Yellow—recycled fiber with an organic yellow leather tassel, Black—recycled fiber with an organic black leather tassel, and White—recycled fiber with an organic black leather tassel.

The Tolani basket — a Hershey kiss silhouette coiled in recycled ndiorokh fiber, finished with braided organic leather trim. Available in three colorways.

The Craft - Each piece is hand-coiled by Wolof women in Senegal, coil by coil. Because each basket is made by hand, no two pieces are identical. Dimensions reflect the standard range for this form and will vary slightly between pieces.

Dimensions - As a hand-coiled object, each piece falls within a standard range. Dimensions are approximate and reflect the nature of the craft.

Production Lead Time - All pieces are made to order. Please allow a minimum of 45 days production time. This does not include shipping. A separate shipping invoice will be sent when your order is ready to leave Senegal.

Care - Spot clean only. Using minimal water, gently dab with a damp cloth or paper towel and allow to dry completely before storing. Never immerse the basket in water. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this may affect the natural materials over time.
